I welcome the publication of an article in today's British Medical Journal, and the release of the Ottawa Statement by 80 international health professionals, recommending public registration of clinical trial information.
The health and well-being of all people are affected by the environments where we live, work and play. We face daily challenges in maintaining our health and protecting it from such threats as environmental degradation, climate change, industrial development and urban growth.
It is with profound sadness that I confirm that four RCMP members were killed today in service to our country. It is an unprecedented and unspeakable loss. It is a loss far greater than any of us ever want to contemplate, let alone have to acknowledge.
