Today, the Honourable Alice Wong, Minister of State (Seniors), announced two New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) calls for proposals for projects that will keep Canadian seniors active, engaged and informed. For both calls for proposals, the application period begins on May 29, 2015 and will close on July 10, 2015. Canada's Citizenship and Immigration Minister, Chris Alexander, touted the success of the Start-up Visa Program today with the announcement of more successful applicants who have been approved for permanent residence in recent months.

An estimated 2,600 families with children in Saskatoon are eligible to receive money under the Harper Government's proposed enhanced Universal Child Care Benefit (UCCB), but are at risk of not receiving the benefit unless they apply.
