The Honourable Pierre Poilievre, Minister of Employment and Social Development, along with Dan Albas, Member of Parliament for Okanagan–Coquihalla, announced an investment to help evaluate and recognize the skills and expertise of former and current members of the Canadian military, so they can get the right training for a civilian job. This successful program from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) will also be expanded to other locations across Canada, including the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (Edmonton), Fanshawe College (London), triOS College (locations across Southern Ontario) and Memorial University (St. John's).

Progress Energy Canada Ltd. pleaded guilty on May 20, 2015, in Fort St. John, British Columbia Provincial Court, and was ordered to pay a total of $250,000 in penalties for an offence under the Migratory Birds Convention Act, 1994, that occurred on May 3, 2012.

The Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, together with the Honourable Kerry-Lynne Findlay, Member of Parliament for Delta-Richmond East and Minister of National Revenue, announced today that the Government of Canada will invest more than $46 million over the next two years at 33 harbours in British Columbia to improve safety and working conditions for fishermen.

The National Battlefields Commission wishes to announce that the Discovery Pavilion of the Plains of Abraham has been renamed to better reflect its function and is now known as the Plains of Abraham Museum. It also serves as an information centre for park visitors. The building that houses the Museum at 835 avenue Wilfrid-Laurier celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2014.
