Opportunities Agency (ACOA), is investing an additional $1
million to ensure that Prince Edward Island successfully
hosts the 2009 Canada Games this summer. Over 4,000 of
Canada's best athletes are expected to participate at the
upcoming games, and bring social and economic benefits to
the Island's communities.

OTTAWA - The Government of Canada has introduced regulatory changes that would improve air safety for Canadian travellers by prohibiting high-speed departures for aircraft. These proposed amendments were announced today by Canada's Transport Minister, John Baird.
TORONTO - GO Transit riders will benefit from an additional $213 million in service improvements as part of the $500 million joint investment between the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario. These projects will reduce wait times for commuters and get more cars off the road.
