Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, announced today the names of 75 recipients of the Governor General's Caring Canadian Award.
OTTAWA - Regulatory amendments introduced today will help further protect Canadians during air travel. Canada's Transport Minister, John Baird, announced amendments to the Canadian Aviation Regulations that will strengthen air operators' ability to protect the safety of all passengers and crew by refusing to board individuals who may represent a threat to safety.
Canadian Forces (CF) Health Services will deploy 30 health-care personnel onboard a U.S. Navy vessel on Exercise Continuing Promise from April 1 to July 31, 2009, an initiative supported by the Government of Canada that will bring humanitarian aid to underserved areas of the Caribbean and Latin America.

The Government of Canada is providing a local Aboriginal youth with the opportunity to gain valuable employment skills through an internship with the Willmore Wilderness Preservation and Historical Foundation.
