The Honourable Gordon O'Connor, Minister of National Defence, announced today the contract award for the CF-18 Advanced Multi-Role Infrared Sensor (AMIRS) project. The Minister of Labour and Minister of Canada Economic Development, the Honourable Jean-Pierre Blackburn, today announced a $41,700 non-repayable contribution to the Centre d'aide aux entreprises de la Rive-Sud (CAE), in order to ensure the continuation of the Cercles d'entraide de la Rive-Sud project.
On behalf of the Honourable Beverley J. Oda, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Status of Women, the Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Minister responsible for Prince Edward Island, today announced funding of $25,000 for the 13th season of the Festival of Lights to be held in Charlottetown from June 29 to July 1, 2007.
