The Impact Entrepreneurship Group and the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) have joined forces to reach out to youth across Canada and raise awareness about leadership and entrepreneurship. On November 21-22nd, 2008, young leaders, business professionals and prominent entrepreneurs from across Canada will be converging at the 2008 Impact National Conference. As Canada's largest youth entrepreneurship and leadership event, the conference will bring together the top 500 youth leaders and entrepreneurs who will shape Canada's future with the goal of helping them become self-starters and lead the entrepreneurship movement, consistent with this year's theme of "The Movement Starts Here."

Two four-time winners are among the list of winners of the 2008 Governor General's Literary Awards announced today by the Canada Council for the Arts. The awards are given in the categories of fiction, poetry, drama, non-fiction, children's literature (text and illustration) and translation, in English and in French.
