The Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry and Minister for FedNor, announced today that the G8 Summit will be held from June 25¿27, 2010. Last June, Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced that the summit will be held at the Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville.
Today, the RCMP held an Establishment of Command Ceremony to welcome their new Commanding Officer for National Headquarters (CO), Assistant Commissioner Bernard F. Corrigan. The position of CO for RCMP National Headquarters (NHQ) was created to provide a central responsibility to address the needs of the over 5,000 RCMP employees located throughout NHQ.

The third quadrennial Military Judges Compensation Committee report on the compensation of military judges is now available on the DND website. The Committee was established under the authority of the National Defence Act for the purpose of conducting regular inquiries into the adequacy of military judges' remuneration. In forming its recommendations, the Committee considered written submissions from the military judges and the Government of Canada and held a public hearing where both parties presented their positions and answered questions from Committee members.
