On Friday, January 23, 2015, Cathy McLeod, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Labour and for Western Economic Diversification, and Member of Parliament for Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo, on behalf of the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, will make an announcement in support of British Columbia's creative industries.
On January 16, 2015, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) investigators at the Lansdowne port of entry (Thousand Islands Bridge) charged Derre Avante Chambliss with non-report of goods, making false statements and smuggling under the Customs Act. He was also charged with careless transportation of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition under the Criminal Code of Canada.
Today, the Honourable Rob Nicholson, P.C., Q.C., M.P. for Niagara Falls, Minister of National Defence concluded a meeting with international partners in London, U.K., where he discussed Coalition efforts to combat the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
