LONDON, ONTARIO - On Friday, December 5, the Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans Canada will share details about the Government of Canada's on-going efforts to stop the spread of aquatic invasive species such as Asian Carp in the Great Lakes and Canadian waterways. The Minister will be joined by MPs Dave Van Kesteren, Pat Davidson, Bev Shipley and Joe Preston.

The Public Service Pay Centre welcomed the final wave of 207 new employees, reaching its full staff complement of 550 employees. This milestone fulfills the commitment made by the Prime Minister in August 2010 to create 550 jobs in Miramichi by 2015 with the establishment of the federal pay centre.
