MacLellans Brook Water Extension

The project includes the design and construction of approximately 8 km of water distribution main to service approximately 195 properties in Pictou County. The communities of Greenwood and Coalburn have experienced poor drinking water quality due to the underlying geological conditions. This project will provide residents with reliable access to potable water that is compliant with federal and provincial drinking water standards and guidelines.

Southend Sewer Separation (Phase II to IV)

The project includes the separation of existing combined sewers into a two-pipe network (sanitary sewer and storm water) within the south end area of New Glasgow. The limits of work are from Glasgow Street (West) to Walker Street (South) to Nelsen Street (East) to Victoria Street (North).The project will increase the capacity to treat and manage wastewater and storm water and  support increased development and future growth.

Abercrombie Road Waterline Replacement

This project includes the construction of a new waterline on Abercrombie Road to replace a 6-inch cast iron pipe that was installed in 1904. The project work area is from Maple Avenue to Dalcrombie Drive within New Glasgow. The approximate length of the waterline to be replaced is 960 metres. The current infrastructure is in poor condition and upgrading this linear asset is needed to improve the water quality for local residents.
