People of PacifiCan: Adriana Gherman

Meet Adriana.
Growing up with the beautiful Carpathian Mountains of Romania as her backyard, our Executive Coordinator in the President’s Office brings inspiration and dedication to the heart of PacifiCan.
Known for her sharp organizational skills and warm approach, Adriana is the go-to person for getting things done while making sure her colleagues feel supported every step of the way.
When she’s not coordinating meetings or keeping projects on track, you will find Adriana hiking B.C.’s scenic trails or planning her next travel adventure, often with some great composers playing in the background. Pro tip: talk Chopin to her!

Working at PacifiCan has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. From day one, I was welcomed into a culture that values collaboration, innovation, and integrity. The people here are not only incredibly talented but also genuinely supportive and passionate about the work we do. Even during the busiest and most demanding times, the sense of camaraderie and shared purpose never fades. PacifiCan has consistently lived up to—and exceeded—my expectations, and I continue to feel proud and inspired to be part of this exceptional team.
What do you do in a typical day?
I’m highly organized and proactive in supporting our team’s success. I set clear priorities, send timely reminders, and ensure that processes are followed efficiently. I’m always available to support my colleagues, offering guidance and assistance whenever needed to keep projects on track and teams aligned.
What have you enjoyed about your role at PacifiCan thus far?
I’ve truly enjoyed the social aspect of my role. Building relationships across the organization is important to me—not just because I enjoy connecting with people, but because knowing who everyone is and what they do helps me support them more effectively. It’s through these connections that I can anticipate needs, offer help, and contribute to a more collaborative and responsive work environment.
What do you find most rewarding about your work?
One of the most fulfilling parts of my work is seeing projects through to completion. There are so many initiatives where I can confidently say, "I helped make that happen."
In your status message, you say, "Come for the collaboration, stay for the awkward small talk." What are your top small talk topics?
Travel is my absolute favorite passion—it gives me the chance to escape the mundane and immerse myself in new cultures, perspectives, and experiences. It’s where I feel most alive and inspired. A close second is my love for movies. I’m always on the lookout for great recommendations, whether it’s a no brainer movie or a feel-good classic. There’s something magical about stories that transport you, whether through a book or a screen.
What city are you originally from?
I’m from a small town in the Carpathian Mountains in Romania.
What is your educational background?
Bachelor of Communications and Political Science, Romania.
Can you share one of your greatest accomplishments?
My greatest accomplishment is being the mother of an incredible young woman—someone I admire deeply and am endlessly proud of. Watching her grow into her own person has been the most meaningful journey of my life.
Professionally, one of my proudest moments was being recognized during our annual awards ceremony. It was a powerful reminder that the work I do matters and that my contributions are seen and valued by my peers and leaders.
Any advice you have for people who may want to join PacifiCan?
Just do it! It’s a good place to work.
Can you give us one or two things that you enjoy outside of work?
Hiking is my absolute favourite activity, and I feel incredibly lucky to live in a part of the world where breathtaking trails are always within reach. Whether it’s a peaceful forest walk or a challenging mountain climb, being outdoors recharges me like nothing else.
Traveling comes in a close second. I’ve been fortunate to explore many beautiful places around the world, each offering its own unique charm and unforgettable experiences. There’s something deeply fulfilling about discovering new landscapes, cultures, and perspectives.
