Meet Emily. When she’s not blazing trails as PacifiCan’s Director of Communications, she’s running and skiing through the trails of Gatineau Park.

How did you arrive at PacifiCan?

I took the long road to PacifiCan, working my way across the country with roles with the provincial/territorial governments of Nunavut, Alberta, British Columbia and the federal government in Ottawa.  Beautiful B.C. has always been close to my heart.

What interested you about PacifiCan?

PacifiCan was only a year old when I joined the ranks. It isn’t often that public servants have an opportunity to be part of a “start-up”.  I was motivated to help build PacifiCan from the ground up.

What do you do in a typical day?

I lead PacifiCan’s communications team. Our role is to build awareness of PacifiCan and champion and celebrate the businesses, entrepreneurs and communities who are making a difference.

What do you find most rewarding about your work?

It’s hard to choose just one. Working with a team of master storytellers and seeing our partners and clients succeed.
