People of PacifiCan: Kristy Arbeau

Kristy Arbeau, Executive Assistant to the President. Quote reads: "The impact of our work is evident and the people I get to work with every day are just incredible."

Meet Kristy,

As the dedicated Executive Assistant to the President of PacifiCan, Kristy brings outstanding organizational skills and ensures that everything runs smoothly. To support the President effectively, her workload includes managing a wide variety of tasks, from scheduling meetings and travel arrangements to negotiating multiple deadlines. She is driven by the success of her colleagues at PacifiCan and isn’t afraid to showcase her creativity. Fun fact: she once rapped on live radio just to snag concert tickets! Get to know this devoted cat mom who is passionate about hiking and exploring new places, and who brings a unique spark to our agency.

How did you arrive at PacifiCan?

I heard so many great things about working for a Regional Development Agency (RDA). When an opportunity came my way, I jumped right in!

What interested you about PacifiCan?

Honestly, it was word of mouth. My fellow Public Servants in B.C. had a lot of good things to say about working at PacifiCan. I had to see if it was worth the hype. I am happy I took the risk because it is honestly such a great place to be. The files are interesting, the impact of our work is evident and the people I get to work with every day are just incredible.

What do you do in a typical day?

I am an Executive Assistant, so my primary goal is to make sure that the President is well taken care of. That means scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, triaging approvals, negotiating deadlines and lots and lots of emails.

What do you find most rewarding about your work?

Seeing the amazing people of PacifiCan succeed. And trust me, there are no shortage of examples.

Outside of work my hobbies include hiking, trying out new restaurants and catering to my handsome cat Charlie’s every want and need. Fun fact about me: one time I competed for concert tickets by rapping live on the radio. Even funnier-fact - I won!
