Support for rural and remote entrepreneurs
PacifiCan provides funding to Community Futures so they can support small- and medium-sized businesses in rural and remote communities.
Community Futures
Community Futures British Columbia (CFBC), along with 34 independent member offices, are non-profit organizations.
CF offices provide business advisory services, loans and other support for community economic development in rural and remote B.C. communities.
What kinds of services are offered
CF’s offices offer the following services:
- Business loans
- Entrepreneurship training and workshops
- Support with business planning and financial forecasting
- Business advisory services including one-on-one coaching and mentorship
Who could benefit from this support
You could benefit from support from your local CF if you are any small- or medium-sized business owner or entrepreneur in a rural or remote community, including:
- an entrepreneur with a disability
- an Indigenous entrepreneur
- a woman business owner or entrepreneur
- a youth entrepreneur
