List of firearms parts and components: for businesses
Eligible businesses can turn in certain firearms parts and components for compensation through the Assault-Style Firearms Compensation Program (ASFCP) when the program reopens this fall. Please note that submitting a claim will not guarantee compensation.
- No more than 200 parts and components can be submitted per business
- Parts and components must be in their original packaging
- Businesses must have had the parts and components in their inventory prior to the date of the respective prohibition (May 1, 2020, December 5, 2024, or March 7, 2025) and may be asked to provide proof
- All firearms previously registered with the Canadian Firearms Program must be turned in as fully assembled firearm(s) rather than disassembled for parts

Participating in the program is voluntary, however businesses (except those with required registration certificates and specific privileges on their licence) must dispose of or permanently deactivate their assault-style firearms before the amnesty period expires on October 30, 2026, or risk criminal liability for the illegal possession of a prohibited firearm.
Any firearms, upper receivers or parts and components turned in through the program that are not eligible will be destroyed without compensation.
