Compensation amounts for businesses

Find all firearms (including lower receivers) and upper receivers prohibited in May 2020, December 2024 or March 2025 as well as associated parts and components eligible for the Assault-Style Firearms Compensation Program (ASFCP). The lists include compensation amounts for businesses.

The program for businesses will re-open later this fall. Businesses will be notified when they can submit a claim for these prohibited firearms, devices and associated parts and components in their inventory. Please note that submitting a claim will not guarantee compensation.

Participating in the program is voluntary, however businesses (except those with required registration certificates and specific privileges on their licence) must dispose of or permanently deactivate their assault-style firearms by the end of the amnesty period or risk criminal liability for the illegal possession of a prohibited firearm.

Any firearms, upper receivers or parts and components turned in through the program that are not eligible will be destroyed without compensation.
