List of upper receivers: for businesses

The following upper receivers were classified as prohibited devices under the Criminal Code in May 2020.

Eligible businesses can turn in these upper receivers for compensation through the Assault-Style Firearms Compensation Program (ASFCP) when the program re-opens later this fall. Please note that submitting a claim will not guarantee compensation.

Participating in the program is voluntary, however businesses (except those with required registration certificates and specific privileges on their licence) must dispose of or permanently deactivate their assault-style firearms by the end of the amnesty period or risk criminal liability for the illegal possession of a prohibited firearm.

Any firearms, upper receivers or parts and components that are not eligible for compensation under the ASFCP, but are turned in through the program, will be destroyed without compensation.
