Lists of firearms and upper receivers: for individuals
Find all firearms (including lower receivers) and upper receivers prohibited in May 2020, December 2024 and March 2025. Only firearms (including lower receivers) are eligible for the Assault-Style Firearms Compensation Program (ASFCP) for individuals. The list includes compensation amounts.
Upper receivers are not eligible for compensation for individual owners. Owners who participate in the program may choose to include them in their claim and turn them in during the collection process, but will not receive compensation.
Participating in the program is voluntary, however individual owners must dispose of or permanently deactivate their assault-style firearms by the end of the amnesty period or risk criminal liability for the illegal possession of a prohibited firearm.
Any items turned in that are not eligible will be destroyed without compensation. This includes ineligible firearms, upper receivers or items that are not included under the program for individuals such as parts and components.
