LHHR 14-07: Departmental Staffing Accountability Reports

2014-03-27

Further to the email that was recently sent to all heads of Human Resources, I am writing to inform you that two additional documents are now available to assist you in the preparation of your Departmental Staffing Accountability Reports (DSAR).

We are providing you a sample of a completed report to demonstrate flexibilities in reporting. In addition, an updated Statistical Methodologies document is available on the Public Service Commission's (PSC) website. This document is intended to assist you in understanding the statistical information previously provided for your monitoring. This year we have included supplementary information on priority administration in light of the additional statistics we have provided to you.

The PSC is committed to supporting you and your organization to implement the new SMAF. The senior analyst assigned to support your organization will continue to follow up with your staff and they remain available to respond to any questions or concerns you may have related to the SMAF at any time throughout the year. I encourage you to take advantage of this support.

We appreciate your continued commitment to ensuring the integrity of the staffing system and non-partisanship in the public service.
