How to manage results

Each time a candidate completes a test, the system sends you an e-mail with information on the candidate and the test taken. The e-mail provides you with a link to the administrator environment.

What you need to do

Step 1

To score tests click on "score tests". A list of Test Taker Ids, Candidate Names, and Appointment Process Numbers will appear for completed tests that have yet to be scored. Click on "score" to have tests automatically scored. When you score a test, the test information and results are submitted electronically (immediately) to the PPC database. For only those candidates who have a PRI or a CIN identifier (military), the test information is verified, including the retest period. A fast track report is available that contains only the test results that are validated. These validated results can be used immediately for the intended purposes. The final report containing all canidates' results is provided the next day by the PPC. The speed of scoring for the fast track report is dependent upon scoring traffic. If many departments are scoring at similar times, a delay could range from a few minutes to an hour or more.

Step 2

Click on "Current status" in the column at the left of your screen. Click on the column heading "Completed".

This screen enables you to search for results. If you leave all windows intact and click "Search", all the results the system has scored are shown. If you select a specific test, only results that pertain to that test appear, starting with the most recent. You can restrict the search by entering dates. When satisfied, click "Search".

Step 3

A list of Test Taker IDs, Results Status (Unofficial or Official), Candidate Names and Dates Completed will appear.

To retrieve results, click on the appropriate Test Taker ID. The results will appear in a separate window.

Step 4

You have successfully managed results. If you would like to check your status, click on "Current Status" in the column at the left of your screen. If you want to terminate your session, click on "Log Out".

Keep in mind

If it is appropriate to do so, you can send the test results file to the candidate or appropriate HR personnel by mail and by email but it must be password protected. Once the test has been completed and you have clicked on "score" to have tests automatically scored, you will receive via email the results for those tests that were perfectly matched and scored via the PSC database. For those results that were not perfectly matched and scored, these results will be sent to you by the Personnel Psychology Centre once the verification and validations are done.

Do not save results to your disk. Results will remain in your administrator environment for 5 years. In parallel, they are automatically sent to the Public Service Commission in order to be kept in the PSC database and they are also sent to the Personnel Application Centre (PAC) system when candidates tested have a PRI.

Please do not archive test results until at least two weeks after the testing session.
