Developmental options
Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) has 1 developmental option:
Intern officer
Intern officers are offered full-time, permanent (indeterminate) positions with the Government of Canada at the start of the developmental program. The program includes rotational assignments over 3 years in the Purchasing and Supply (PG) group and profession, with job opportunities that provide meaningful experience to develop skills and competencies necessary to become a more senior procurement officer.
Officers start as supply officer trainees at the PG-01 level and, if they meet the necessary requirements, they are promoted over the course of 3 years as supply specialists at the PG-04 level. Intern officers perform increasingly complex work as they advance from trainee to supply specialist. As supply specialists, they carry out complex procurements for government clients.
