How we work

Digitizing your documents will allow you to work more efficiently with your business information. Once you have identified the records you need digitized, let the Document Imaging Solutions Centre help take your project from start to finish in a few simple steps:

  1. contact us at tpsgc.imagerie-imaging.pwgsc@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca (One of our project managers will follow up with you) 
  2. tell us about your needs
    • we’ll work with you to learn about your needs
    • we want to understand how you store, maintain and retrieve, or dispose of your documents
    • we’ll examine your documents and determine the scope of work and type of project
    • we’ll make a personalized business or project plan to meet your needs
  3. sign an agreement
    • we’ll price the service offerings you select and draw up an agreement
    • our rate structure is approved by the Government of Canada
    • it is designed to get the best value for your resources
  4. send your records to one of our secure facilities in:
    • Matane, Quebec 
    • Winnipeg, Manitoba
    • to one of our trusted contractors across the country
  5. we get your records ready to digitize. This includes:
    • removing: 
      • sticky notes 
      • staples  
      • paper clips  
      • binding  
    • sorting your records
    • adding barcodes to make digitizing and indexing your records easier
  6. we digitize your documents according to your specifications (our qualified employees use our high-speed, high-volume scanners to process your documents) and extract key business information
  7. we transfer your digitized records to you (we can send the paper copies back to you, or securely dispose of them)
