The Receiver General for Canada manages direct deposit for the various benefits and payments you receive from the government. You may contact us with your general questions and comments using the required fields below. For your privacy and safety, please only provide the requested contact information and do not submit further personal information (such as your SIN) or banking information.
The Receiver General for Canada does not have access to personal files. Inquiries regarding specific accounts or payments, including changes of address, must be made directly to the responsible department.
Privacy notice statement
The personal information is collected on a voluntary basis pursuant to the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act and the Financial Administration Act. The personal information will be used by the Receiver General for the purpose of responding to your questions/comments, and to improve our internet presence. The personal information is described in the Standard Personal Information Bank Public Communications PSU 914. Your personal information is protected, used, and disclosed in accordance with the Privacy Act.
Should you refuse to provide your personal information, we will be unable to properly respond to your inquiry. Alternatively, you may contact the government department or agency responsible for issuing your payment(s).
Under the Privacy Act, you have the right to access and correct your personal information, if erroneous or incomplete. The personal information provided in this form will be retained for a period of a minimum of 2 years under the Privacy Act, after the last administrative action, and then destroyed.
