Pre-authorized Instalment Payment Plan
Pre-authorized payment plan
Step 1 - Choose a pre-authorized payment plan and a start date
You must choose a pre-authorized payment plan option and a start date to complete this step.
The payment amount you select will be withdrawn from your bank account on the start date and on the quarterly dates indicated.
PART 1 - Choose a payment option
You have two options to choose from:
1. Plan 1- No-calculation amount
On the quarterly due dates, CRA will withdraw the calculated amount shown in box 2 of the Instalment Reminders we sent to you in February and August. As long as you continue to receive an Instalment Reminder, the payments will automatically be withdrawn from your bank account. This amount may change every 6 months.
2. Plan B- Fixed amount
If you choose to make instalment payments different from the amount shown on the Instalment Reminder, or if you did not receive a reminder but want to pay by instalments, we will withdraw the amount you have chosen on the quarterly due dates. If your circumstances change and you owe either more or less tax, you will have to contact CRA to change the amount of the withdrawal. This amount will not change unless you request a modification of the amount.
The payment must be greater than $2.00
PART 2 - Choose a start date
Choose the date you want your payments to begin by selecting a quarterly date from the Calendar drop-down menu. To allow for processing, the first start date that you can select will be the next instalment due date that is at least 10 days from today.
Step 2 - Enter banking information
