My Account – What’s new

My Account BETA

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is constantly looking for ways to improve its digital services for Canadians. Try out My Account’s new look to access most of your tax and benefit information. To access the BETA, all you need to do is sign in to My Account and select “Try the new My Account BETA”.

You can use either version to view and manage most of your individual account information. You can switch between the BETA and legacy version of My Account as often as you’d like!

What is a BETA?

The My Account BETA allows you to try new features in the early stages of development with an improved look and feel.

If selecting the BETA is not an option, you may not be using the full version of My Account. In order to use all of the services, including the BETA, please enter your security code. For more information, go to: Registration process to access the CRA login services -

Child Benefits - Updating Child and Custody Changes

You can use the CRA’s My Account portal to notify us of any changes to your family situation, such as your shared custody arrangement.

A new service called “Modify shared custody” is now available on the “View and update children in my care” page. You can update an existing custody arrangement for a child in your care from shared custody to full custody or vice versa.

You can use “Add a child” to apply for the CCB and related provincial and territorial programs for a new child, as well as use the “End care of child” service to tell us when you are no longer the primary caregiver for a particular child.
