My Account – What’s new
Tell us once
The CRA and Employment and Social Development Canada are collaborating on an initiative that allows them to exchange Canadians’ banking information. Under Phase I, the Canada Pension Plan and other CRA programs consent to share direct deposit information.
New account alert
The CRA will now send you an account alert when there is a change to an authorized representative on your account.
Change your address and direct deposit
Certified NETFILE software allows taxpayers with full access to My Account to change or update address and direct deposit information. This occurs prior to transmitting the tax return.
Manage your security options
A new link has been added in My Account and Represent a Client, which takes you to an information page on how you can manage your security options.
Account alert expanding
The account alerts service is expanding and can now send new account alerts to help you monitor your account. The terms and conditions have changed so we can send you new alerts as they become available.
A new link has been added to the left-side menu of My Account. Audit enquiries enables you and/or your authorized representatives (level 2 and 3) with an audit case number to submit audit enquiries and receive responses from an auditor/compliance program officer. You can also view your audit history.
Account alerts for individuals in My Account, MyCRA mobile app, and MyBenefits mobile app
Sign up for account alerts to get an email from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) whenever there's a change made to your address or to your direct deposit information. We'll also send you an email if paper mail that we sent to you gets returned to us, so you'll know that you may need to update your mailing address.
Tax Information Slips (T-Slips *New additions*)
Tax information slips are an important part of filing your taxes on time and accurately. This February, CRA has added more slips that can be viewed online. You can now view your current tax information slips online as well as those going back 10 years. Here are some of the slips you can now view online:
- T4A(P) Statement of Quebec Pension Plan Benefits
- rent assist
- tax-free savings account (TFSA)
