Job Summary
The Corporate Analyst is not only responsible for corporate-wide data analysis and report writing but also acts as a liaison and resource for outside agencies and visitors. The role requires critical thinking, professionalism, strong communication skills, and attention to detail. Functions include but are not limited to:
- Proactively conduct qualitative and quantitative research and analysis to make recommendations to leadership.
- Prioritize and coordinate research, analytical, and reporting requests, including ATIP and NSIRA, by consulting with stakeholders, and collaborating with other teams, drafting and submitting responses.
- Prepare and revise corporate documents and reports by keeping abreast of evolving trends, programs, and initiatives, analysing client needs and compiling statistics.
- Coordinate the submissions for the Branch/Region's annual report, business plans, business continuity plans and other products as required.
- Act as a point of contact for visiting officials and other stakeholders, representing the Branch/Region in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
- Plan, coordinate, and track various initiatives and special projects (including Information Management related initiatives).
- Act, when required, as the Head, Management Services.
Education
- Undergraduate degree and two (2) years of relevant experience; or
- College diploma and four (4) years of relevant experience; or
- High school diploma and six (6) years of experience*
The Undergraduate degree/College Diploma must be obtained from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada. If you completed a program outside of Canada, you will be required to obtain proof of a Canadian equivalency at your expense from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada.
Any higher level of education (i.e.: Master’s, Doctorate) in a related field of study could be recognized as experience.
Experience
Relevant experience is defined as:
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative research and analysis where you compile, review and make recommendations or decisions.
- Experience planning, tracking, and coordinating activities (includes various administrative duties, such as: budgeting, travel, events, hospitality, and visits).
- Experience in preparing, drafting, and delivering presentations, emails, meeting minutes, memos, manuals, standard operating procedures, announcements, agendas, and reports.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, collaborating externally and within a team

Assets
An asset qualification is a qualification which can enhance the ability to perform the work based on current and future business requirements, but which is not strictly required. Positions will be staffed based on the selection decision principle and operational priorities.
- Experience in producing corporate communications related to policy and program areas and/or strategic planning.
- Knowledge of business continuity planning, project and change management principles/tools/resources.
- Experience working with dignitaries and senior officials.
- Familiarity with statistical data analysis, records and information management, as well as ATIP requests.
- Experience using advanced functionalities of Microsoft Office and other program suites.
Conditions of Employment
- Hold and maintain a valid and permanent full Canadian driver’s license, defined as a G Class (Ontario) or minimum of a Class 5 (remainder of Canada). Learner’s and Novice licenses will not be accepted
- Required to travel to region(s), district, and satellite offices within BCR and TR.
- Flexibility is required in relation to the work schedule that may extend beyond core hours. Occasionally, you will be required to adjust your working hours to accommodate.
