Testimonials
“Having already worked at [CSIS] as a student, you have the unique advantage in understanding the culture, values and expectation[s]. And, this foot in the door can make it easier to transition into a full-time role, and build existing relationships, which made me want to continue to grow with the organization.” – Kev
“I find that there are a lot of opportunities in this organization to meet people and networks, especially as a student. My supervisors and managers are always giving me advice for my future career and give me challenges to develop my skills and abilities. I think doing a CO-OP [placement] here is a good opportunity for business students (or any student), as it opens doors for you very early on in your career." – Marie
“STEM is so highly needed and appreciated here, I’m really glad I didn’t let my preconceived idea of government work change my mind about applying. I highly recommend at least doing a [co-op] work term to see what really goes on in here, it’s not what you expect – it’s so much better!” – Sam
“They took my education and professional formation to heart and truly set me up for success with them. I was given a good workload, while never being overwhelmed; I was supported through every assignment and task and was given, and as mentioned before, given every tool necessary to succeed. I am very grateful for all the mentors I have had during my time here.” – Zoe
“I feel a deep sense of pride and satisfaction knowing that the work in my role ultimately serves to help the organization improve and execute its mission to the best of its abilities. It’s been rewarding to see tangible results from the hours invested on a project, and reflecting on the lessons I learned along the way to do better next time.” –Dolly
“I decided to stay with the organization [after my studies] because my experience had been overwhelmingly positive, and I felt that a career in the intelligence community was right for me. The organization’s dynamic environment provides me with the best opportunity to serve and utilize my skills in a meaningful way, and I appreciate the fact that my work is constantly challenging and engaging. I feel a strong sense of purpose and fulfillment in my work, which keeps me motivated and inspired.” – Jason
