Consultation on Countering Radicalization to Violence
From Public Safety Canada
Current Status: Closed
The Government of Canada is inviting Canadians to share their views on countering radicalization to violence through an online consultation led by the Canada Centre for Community Engagement and Prevention of Violence (Canada Centre). Through the online consultation, Canadians can provide advice on a number of priorities:
- How local communities and frontline actors can participate in addressing radicalization to violence and its harmful impacts
- Where funding and other resources can be directed in order to get the best results
- The role that the Canada Centre can play in increasing public knowledge about countering radicalization to violence
How to Participate
Participants are encouraged to share their ideas through the consultation portal.
Why
The Government believes it is important for Canadians to be informed and participate in a discussion on this issue. Past research has shown that the best solutions on this issue often come directly from the communities that can offer advice in keeping with their local realities.
