  • document source-to-target mappings

High performance computing

High Performance Computing (HPC) plays an important role in the Government of Canada. It is particularly present in the following areas:

You could work in one of the following specializations:

  • supercomputer system administration
  • HPC cluster system administration
  • administration of physical/virtual server/Linux container systems contributing to HPC service

Mainframe professionals

The GC's mission-critical business applications supporting security and financial transactions are all mainframe based. Programming/Software development experts

System database administrators

SSC manages the administration, installation, upgrade, maintenance, backup, restoration and 24/7 support for multiple database technologies (such as IDMS, DB2 on zOS, DB2 LUW, ADABAS, DMSII). Your work could include:

  • installing patches and version upgrades to the DBMS software
  • monitoring of the environment
  • supporting additional critical software

  • Manage and resolve incidents 24/7determining root cause analysis
