Carry-over and liquidation of vacation leave credits for certain excluded or unrepresented employees
To: Heads, Compensation and Labour Relations
With the April 1, 2009 implementation of the Directive on Terms and Conditions of Employment for Certain Excluded / Unrepresented Employees, the majority of excluded or unrepresented groups and levels are now subject to the provisions of the relevant collective agreement. Consequently, the administration of vacation leave credits carry-over for excluded or unrepresented employees occupying positions at the groups and levels identified in Table 1 below, is now governed by the relevant collective agreement.
As a consequence of this change some affected employees may, on , have vacation leave credits in excess of the maximum carry-over and as such, these will be liquidated as specified in the relevant collective agreement.
