Student Experience Survey

The Student Experience Survey (SES) is led by the Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer (OCHRO) at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS). The SES is a public service-wide summer experience survey aimed at student employees and supports the advancement of government priorities related to student recruitment.

Organizations can use the results to inform the development of targeted student recruitment and retention strategies and provide insights into students’ opinions about onboarding, workplace experience, future employment in the federal public service and well-being in the workplace.

The 2024 SES was administered from to , with a total of 4,649 student respondents from across 73 participating departments and agencies.
