Refocusing Government Spending: Frozen Allotments in Voted Authorities in 2023-24
Budget 2023 announced a reduction to organizations’ travel budgets and spending on consulting and other professional services. Reductions of $500.0 million for 2023–24 have been allocated and are shown in the table below. Organizations will not be able to spend these amounts, and the $500.0 million will lapse and return to the fiscal framework at the end of the fiscal year.
