4. After you apply

Once you have successfully submitted your application through FluidReview, a confirmation email generated by the system will be sent to the owner of the account in the next 24 hours. This confirmation email is considered the acknowledgment of receipt of applications. To prevent emails from being classified as spam by the email server, organizations should add the following email address to their contacts: CFC.CentreExpertiseSC-CentreofExpertiseGC.SWC@cfc-swc.gc.ca.

Approved Projects

Not all eligible applications will be approved under this call for proposals. Funding is limited and subject to the Department’s annual budget considerations and allocation of funds by Parliament.

The department anticipates communicating decisions made regarding applications in September 2020. All decisions (approval or rejection) will be confirmed in writing. The Minister for Women and Gender Equality makes all funding decisions. Decisions regarding the assessment of applications are final and there is no appeal process.

If your project is approved, a program officer will contact you to establish a funding agreement.

Activities cannot begin before the project is approved and an agreement has been signed by both the organization and the department.

Successful organizations must agree to defer any public announcements until the Government of Canada has publicly announced the project.

Progress Reports

If your project is approved, you will be required to report on the progress of your project. A program officer will be contacting you in due time.

Final Report

Funded organizations must submit a final report, as specified in the agreement.

Under this call for proposals, you will also be required to indicate how the project activities have contributed in achieving at least one of the following expected results:

• LGBTQ2 organizations have become legally constituted (incorporated or registered)
• LGBTQ2 organizations have increased knowledge and capacity to advance equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression (for example, quantity of evidence, data, information, and knowledge sources or percentage of staff trained in Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA+)^{Footnote 1} 
• Partnerships and collaborations are established and/or strengthened to support the LGBTQ2 movement (for example, number of new partners developed, by stakeholder type [non-profit, private sector, government])

Timely reporting shows good project management. Should your organization fail to submit progress reports or a final report on time, it may impact your organization’s ability to obtain funding from the department in the future.
