Marta Donovan détient un B.Sc. en biologie de la University of Victoria. Depuis 1997, elle est coordonnatrice de l’information biologique au Centre de données sur la conservation de la Colombie-Britannique. En 2000, elle a co-rédigé le rapport de situation du COSEPAC sur le Sanicula arctopoides.
