Domestic trade opportunities through ACOA

 

In a rapidly changing world, Canada is focused on what we can control; diversifying trade partnerships abroad and building economic strength at home – that includes removing internal barriers and improving domestic trade within Canada.

Building on its ongoing work under the Atlantic Trade and Investment Growth Strategy, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), as a member of the Domestic Trade Commissioners Network (DTCN), is helping small and medium-sized enterprises gain knowledge and participate in domestic trade missions and events that help them build business partnerships and strengthen their supply chain connections across Canada. The DTCN will engage with federal departments, provinces and territories to share information on domestic trade and explore and leverage domestic trade opportunities.

ACOA is also helping businesses adapt to changing trade realities through the Regional Tariff Response Initiative and the Regional Economic Growth through Innovation program.
