Officer Training Program
The 4-year funded Officer Training Program is one of the best marine training programs in the world. It develops marine engineers and marine navigation officers for the Coast Guard Fleet.
Marine engineering training
The marine engineering officer stream includes theory, simulation and practical in-class training. It also offers at-sea training on the maintenance, operation and control of ship systems, engines and machinery.
Marine navigation training
The marine navigation officer stream teaches watch keeping, search and rescue, and seamanship skills. It also develops leadership skills to prepare officers to direct a ship and keep the vessel and its crew safe.
