Eugenie Bouchard - Tennis

  • Won gold representing Team Quebec at the 2009 Canada Summer Games.
  • In 2014, she reached the finals at Wimbledon and the semi-finals of the Australian and French Opens.
  • Received the Bobbie Rosenfeld Award as Canada's female athlete of the year in 2013 and 2014.
  • Represented Canada at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Angela Chalmers – Athletics

  • Represented Team Manitoba in athletics at 1981 Canada Summer Games, winning silver in the 800m and 1500m events.
  • Won silver in the 3000m event at the 1987 Pan Am Games, gold in the 1500m and 3000m events at the 1990 Commonwealth Games.  
  • Won bronze in the 3000m event at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
  • Was the recipient of the National Aboriginal Achievement Award in 1995 (now the Indspire Awards).

  • Represented Team Ontario in 2013 Canada Summer Games.
  • Won gold at the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games (100m, 200m) and gold at the 2017 World Relay Championships.

  • Recently graduated from the University of Southern California, fulfilling a promise to his mother.

Alexandre Dupont – Athletics

  • Represented Team Quebec in 2005 and 2009 Canada Summer Games.
  • Won bronze at 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow (1500m).
  • Won 3 gold medals at the Toronto 2015 Parapan Am Games.
  • Took home a bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in the 4x400m event.

Russell Martin – Baseball

  • Competed for Team Quebec at the 2001 Canada Summer Games.
  • 4x Major League Baseball All-Star.
  • Won both the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Awards in 2007.
  • Named the recipient of the Tip O’Neill Award for best Canadian player in 2007.

Diana Matheson - Soccer

  • Won gold with Team Ontario in 2001 Canada Summer Games.
  • Is both a National Championship winner (2002) and The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) champion (2010).
  • Has 2 Olympic bronze medals (London 2012, Rio 2016).
  • Is a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal recipient (2012) and one of many celebrity attendees of LIMITLESS: Special Olympics Canada Gala.

Meghan Montgomery – Rowing

  • Competed for Team Manitoba at the 2001 Canada Summer Games.
  • Is a 6-time World Championship team member winning 5 medals from 2006-2016.
  • Was a member of the bronze medal team in mixed coxed 4 (rowing) at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
  • A prominent member of the Canadian Paralympic Committee’s Athlete Council since 2009.

Steve Nash – Basketball 

  • Won bronze representing Team British Columbia at the 1993 Canada Summer Games.
  • Most successful Canadian basketball athlete in the National Basketball League.
  • Created the Steve Nash Foundation, which helps children around the world receive critical needs in personal development, education, health and overall happiness.

  • Competed for Team Quebec at the 1989 Canada Summer Games, winning gold in 3m diving.
  • Won 7 National diving titles.

  • Annie is also a dedicated spokesperson for the Special Olympics.

Katarina Roxon – Swimming

  • Represented Newfoundland and Labrador at the 2005 Canada Summer Games.
  • Competed in 3 Paralympic Games and won gold at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
  • Has won 10 Parapan American medals from 2007 and 2015.
  • Named one of the Most Influential Women by the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity.

Adam Van Koeverden - Rowing

  • Competed for Team Ontario in 1997 Canada Summer Games.
  • Won gold at Athens 2004 Olympics in K-1 500m, bronze in K-1 1000m.
  • Won silver at Beijing 2008 in K-1 500m and London 2012 in K-1 1000m.
  • Currently serves as the vice-chair of the Canadian Olympic Committee’s Athletes’ Commission and an athlete ambassador for Right to Play.
