Administrative Burden Baseline: Update 2021 - Canadian Heritage
The Administrative Burden Baseline provides Canadians with a clear metric on the total number of requirements in federal regulations and associated forms that impose administrative burden on business. This baseline contributes to the openness and transparency of the federal regulatory system.
All federal regulations administered by Canadian Heritage that have requirements that impose administrative burden on business are identified below. The total 2021 count is 684. The total June 30th 2014 baseline count is 797.
For the second year in a row , minor changes to the online application system for the audio-visual tax credits under the Income Tax Regulations (Sections 1106 & 9300) resulted in a small net decrease (six) for 2021. There were no associated regulatory changes.
