The work is done outdoors 95% of the time, in a variety of weather conditions. Tasks are divided as follows:
- 50%: customer service (answering questions and providing information)
- 30%: interpretation services (presenting various monuments and important sites in the capital, such as the National War Memorial and Centennial Flame)
- 10%: guided tours (accompanying groups of visitors from all over the world)
- 10%: participation in special events (Canada Day and Changing of the Guard ceremonies)
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:
- be a college or university-level student
- be a Canadian citizen
- be fluently bilingual in French and English
- meet the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) eligibility criteria

Salary: $18.17 per hour
