Risk Assessment and Restriction of Duty Process Flow Chart

An operational risk assessment is conducted by the force employer OCC or the VCDS for OUTCAN. DOS SJS, ADM(Pol), and Comd CFINTCOM will be consulted.

Restriction of duty required for an operation, task, exercise or posting?

If no – there is no restriction of duty required

If yes - Form DND 4148-E is completed and the OCC or VCDS determines if a restriction of duty is to be imposed on a CAF member. ADM(Pol) and CMP will be consulted. CAF member, chain of command and D Mil C / DSA are informed.
