MOSID 00019 - Airborne Electronic Sensor Operator (AES OP)

General Duties:

AES OP shall perform duties related to operating airborne sensor and ordnance systems on land based fixed and shipborne rotary wing aircraft including: operation of radar, electronic support measures, magnetic anomaly detection, and forward looking infra-red systems; loading/unloading/preparing search stores and ordnance; arming and disarming weapons; performing visual observer duties; fuelling aircraft on-ground and in-flight; determining sensor parameter needs; analysis and interpretation of data; provision of analysis results; and tactical advice.

8. Operate hoist in the open door of a helicopter (standing, kneeling or prone) & connect heavy fuelling nozzle for in-flight re-fuelling. X X X X X X
9. Rescue personnel by descending on hoist, swimming to and attaching harness to victim and being hoisted together. X X X X X X
10. Remain highly alert 12 hrs per day. X X X X X X
