MOSID 00155 - Biomedical Electronics Technologist (BE TECH)

General Duties:

The functions of the BE TECH are to maintain, overhaul, modify, test, inspect and calibrate biomedical and associated equipment. Additionally, the BE TECH is responsible for planning of facility layouts as well as the installation and removal of medical and field dental equipment.

10. Climb, stoop, bend or crawl over, under, around vehicles and equipment to install, maintain, repair, remove, and overhaul. X X X
11. Manipulate various sized tools, parts (including miniature components) steadily, without rest for several minutes on an hourly basis while working in confined spaces. X X X
12. Operate equipment, which emits frequencies in the ultrasonic or sub-sonic range. X X X
13. Cope with stress related to emergency equipment repair procedures for 3 to 4 hours without rest. X X X
14. Drive service vehicles under low/no light conditions. X X X
15. Work 12 hour shifts with occasional periods of 16 hours work. X X X
