MOSID 00238 - Geomatics Technician (GEO TECH)

General Duties:

GEO TECH's mission to produce global geospatial information and services include both field and base plant garrison activities. They conduct surveys and terrain analysis studies year round for the production of maps charts and Geographic Information System (GIS) data bases. They handle survey instruments, operate automated cartographic and GIS workstations in base plant or in operational field units. Tasks involve living for extended periods with deployed field forces or isolated areas and, include the need to lift and carry moderately heavy loads over rough and mountainous terrain.
