MOSID 00342 - Clearance Diver (CL DVR)

General Duties:

CL DIV and CL DIV TECH work on large underwater engineering projects. They work in extremes of climate and weather.

1. Climb angled ladders, 3 m, in dark, windy, slippery conditions in CF diving equipment weighing 40 kg. X X X X X

3. Work underwater with a range of special tools and procedures in awkward positions. X X X X X X
4. Conduct dives to 80 m using CUMA mixed gas apparatus for up to 8 hours. X X X X X
5. Conduct dives to 100 m on surface supplied mixed gas for up to 4 hours. X X X X X
6. Possess the attentiveness and ability to respond to life threatening emergencies. X X X X X X
7. Supervise dives for 7 hours controlling 2 divers in the water and 12 surface support personnel while keeping accurate records of events: gas, time and depth readings. X X X X

10. Scale ship's side via cargo nets carrying weapon and 20 kg of equipment. X X X X X X
