Notice of Settlement
Did you experience a delay in receiving a pension benefit under the Reserve Force Pension Plan or the Regular Force Pension Plan?
If you served in the CAF with at least some of that service in the Reserve Force, and you were released between March 1, 2007 and October 31, 2017, you may be entitled to a payment under a settlement.

1. What is this Class Action about?

2. Who is included in this settlement?
The settlement applies to all individuals, referred to as “Class Members”, who did not “opt out” of the class action and who meet the following criteria:
- served in the Canadian Armed Forces – Reserve Force;
- released from the Canadian Armed Forces between March 1, 2007 and October 31, 2017;
- were entitled to receive an Immediate Annuity, Transfer Value, Annual Allowance and/or Bridge Benefit under the Regular Force Pension Plan or the Reserve Force Pension Plan; and
- did not receive payment of the Immediate Annuity, Transfer Value, Annual Allowance and/or Bridge Benefit for more than 60 days from the date of release.
3. I cannot submit an electronic Claim Form. How do I submit a paper Claim Form instead?

4. How will the payment be issued?
Payments will be distributed following the closure of the Claims Period and once all Claims have been assessed, via e-transfer or, in exceptional cases, by cheque. Claims submitted on behalf of a Class Member will be paid by cheque.
5. Can I speak with a representative if I call the Claim Administrator?
Due to high call volumes, please leave a detailed message in your preferred language. A representative will return your call within five (5) business days, or shortly thereafter.
6. I only have Canadian Armed Forces - Regular Force service, am I eligible to participate in this Class Action?
No. This settlement is limited to those who served in the Reserve Force and meet the other eligibility criteria as detailed above.
