Airworthiness Directives
An Airworthiness Directive (AD) is a product-related airworthiness order issued by the Technical Airworthiness Authority (TAA). An AD is developed and issued by the TAA when mandatory action is necessary to rectify a potential degradation in the level of safety of in-service aeronautical products from a design deficiency or product shortcoming.
An AD may be permanent or temporary, depending on circumstances or the technical problem that led to the requirement for the AD. A notice issued by another airworthiness regulatory authority may be recognized as equivalent to a TAA-issued AD depending on its applicability to a DND/CAF-registered aircraft.
The following ADs have been issued by the TAA:
DND-AD-2013-02 – Non-Conforming Machine Bolts, P/N AN3C3A
This AD was issued by the TAA to investigate the potential installation of non-conforming machine bolts bearing P/N AN3C3A on DND/CAF aircraft and to initiate rectification action, where required.
