Step 3. What you need before you start

We encourage you to refer to the Who is eligible section and the privacy notice statement before beginning your application.

We will use the application questionnaire to assess how you meet the selection criteria for the Council membership stream to which you have applied.

Instructions for completing the application are provided in the instructions section of the questionnaire, and should be carefully reviewed before beginning. The application questionnaire requires that you clearly state the desired streams for consideration and your availability. It asks that you respond to questions relating to:

While we invite you to apply to multiple streams within the application questionnaire, we ask that you only submit 1 questionnaire.

Once you open the questionnaire, you must complete all fields in one sitting in order to properly submit your application. After 17 minutes of inactivity, you will receive a 3 minute warning to resume filling out your application. If you do not respond and your session times out, all inputted data will be erased and you will need to restart the application. As such, we strongly recommend that you complete your questionnaire using the following steps:

  1. take note of your stream-related questions
  2. draft your responses in a separate document (for example, Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Google Docs, or Libre Writer)
  3. once you have drafted your responses, copy or input the relevant information in the appropriate fields

This will allow you the necessary time to answer in as much detail as needed. It is also important that you ensure the accuracy of your information before submitting your application (for example, contact information, correct dates of employment, etc.)
