1. What is the Tax Information Slips online service?
The Tax Information Slips online service allows you to view and print copies of your Employment Insurance (EI) tax information slips - T4E. This service gives you access to your current and previous six years tax information slips. These copies can be submitted with your Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) tax return. You can also use the Tax Information Slips service to choose to stop receiving your tax slips by mail. If you change your mind, you can re-start mailing at any time.

To use this online service, you must:
- have received a EI payment;
- use a computer that meets our minimum computer requirements; and
- register for My Service Canada Account.

You can call our telephone information service at 1 800 206-7218 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm to speak to a representative or go to your Service Canada Centre. In both cases, questions will be asked to verify your identity and a new Access code will be reissued.

Yes, your information is protected with the same level of security used by banks for their online services.

No, each year you must go online at the beginning of February to view your tax slips.

To reativate the mailing of your Tax Information Slip - T4E, go to the Tax Information Slips online service. You need to login to the online service using your access code, you then choose the option to 'Start Mailing' your tax information slips.
8. Can my Service Canada office update my election to receive/not to receive my tax slips by mail when requested?
Yes, but only with a written consent from you. If you would like to change this yourself, go to the Tax Information Slips online service. You need to login to the online service using your access code, you then choose the option to 'Stop/Start Mailing' your tax information slips.
9. I do not have a computer/access to a computer. Will I still receive my tax information slip by mail?
Yes, the mailing service will continue. The online service is only an alternative to our current service methods.
