Science Horizons Youth Internship Program

The Science Horizons Youth Internship Program (Science Horizons) provides wage subsidies to employers across Canada to hire post-secondary graduates in the environmental sector. Internships span for 4 to 12 months.
Science Horizons provides the following funding to eligible employers:
- wage subsidies up to $25,000
- funding up to $5,000 for wrap-around services (certification and training, job accessibility, other supports)
Objectives
- Help young graduates gain valuable work experience to support their success in the job market
- Supports green jobs for youth
- Support companies and organizations grow their green workforce
- Contribute to Canada’s economic growth in the environmental sector.
In 2023-2025, Science Horizons helped over 1300 young graduates across Canada obtain practical work experience in Canada’s environmental sector.
